Anyone seen a 2tg turbo?
|

Just wondering if anyone has seen or ridden in a 2tg turbo before? How does this setup perform? Note: Not hybrid 3t etc. Just a 2tg with efi and turbo. Any feedback? Thanks.

No offence muaythaiman, but have some goddamn patience!
Useless bumping of topics is considered spamming. If people have the answer to your question they will answer it when they come to it. Bumping your post back up to the top is just going to piss lots of people off.

I'll answer it, and by the way this is the first time I've seen the topic but regardless where it is I would have seen it as I look at all the new posts until I get to the one I read last when last I viewed the section - like lots of others!
Boring for the standard 2TG with 3TGTE bits bolted onto it to turbo it. Fun once the guy had worked it over, installed a W55, and a Skyline LSD rear.
The moral of the story is, it will go as good if you're happy to throw money at it!

Saw one at Jamboree in Willowbank, 2 years ago. 2TG Turbo TA22 running on LPG. It ran low 13's when I saw it. I only saw it after a run so I don't know any more than that.
Like CLG indicated, you can do pretty much anything to anything with $$$$

thanks for that peewee.
13's on lpgs not bad, go harder on normal juice then?
i was thinking a head port, rods, low comp. pistons and a 3tgte exhaust manifold, plumbed back into an efi plenum (2tg plenum). If I don't run too high boost the bottom would handle it I would have thought.??

something about lpg being higher octane and cooler running temps and such.
and the bottom end would depend on the series of 2tg, the compression ranges between like 8.5 and 9.8 depending on series of motor - a 9.8 motor wouldn't last too long at all

i'm sure they would if their only other option was regular unleaded. But You know what, I think they have something else to put in their cars. And considering the volume, I also reckon they get a big discount on their fuel. Not unlike when my mum gets her fuel from safeways using her shoping docket.
