Which RTA slip for engine number change?

Ok so the car is finally getting engineered on thursday, it has passed emissions YAY! and i just need to know what colour 'slip' is required to change the engine number.
Pink slip doesn't deal with it, and i hope its not a blue slip because they are a bitch to get done.
Will i have to go to a blue slip inspection station, or can any mechanic fill in a form once i have an engineers certificate?
Can it even just be done at the rta?
ta.

From memory it's a blue slip dude, but I think it's just done at most mechanics (and isn't too much of a drama - unlike an RTA inspection).
Once done you just take the blue-slip paperwork to the RTA for the rego to be updated*
* = I think!

u need to get a change of information blue slip.
it is not a full inspection, the guy just inspects the engine number fills in the paper work, you give him $20 for the blue slip. then you go to the RTA with the blue slip and receipt for the engine and it is FREE there. its not that hard , and the blue slip is only an engine number inspection.
good luck

never been the case with me and getting RWC's
been to several different mechanics to get them done, the guy i usually go to has a huge book on different engines and their specs(has a column to tell where to find the engine number)
my friends seem to think i have a way with sweettalking mechanincs into getting them to pass the car on a RWC so i get stuck with getting them done :/ the free beer is good though nothings free, even for slack friends
anyways
this doesnt help as i dont live in NSW(thankfully) and evertyhign is easier\better up here
well, apart from our non existant ski fields *cries*

yes - take in any receipts for purchase of said engine and engineers papers and anything else to a mechanic authorised for Blue Slip inspections.
He does just a number ID check blue slip, which does not involve inspecting the car at all, just the engine number and verifying the VIN. Then take that to the RTA and your done.

oh, and only places that do 'blue slips' can issue a brown slip. if they only do pink slips, they cant issue one...
