Fuel tank capacity Tue, 14 September 2004 11:35 Go to next message
Ok, we are just about to make a new fuel tank for the TA22. Whats a suitable capacity for the ol girl with the 3S-GTE?
What size tank do the ST205's come with?
Thanks

i recon 50-60lt would be plenty. the '22 comes stock 40lt, the commys come at 60lt and only 4wds go over 60lt so i wouldnt go over that, theres no need to.

60lts would be heaps if travelling, would be a good weigh down weight and wouldnt be too big for the car

regarding making a fuel tank, do you have to get that engineered or tested? and any idea what that costs?

It does have to be engineered. Cost including engineering, building and fitting would be around $1200.
