Sounds too expensive to me...

Depending on your car... but for the early Celica's

Balljoints are like $20 each side
Rear shocks ( depends on brand ) but some KYB's are $150 or so
Why u need lower & upper control arms? Bent?
Depending what bushes being replaced. but to replace everyone in my car was $250 - $300.

Wheel alignment $40

1986 MK3 Supra had it for less than week. Has to get blue slip frown

control arms are fucked really loose and have major movement. Had been sitting for a few months so they didnt show up when i first drove it but now i have got it home everything has loosened up. What can i expect tires to cost me 225/etc/etc cant remember the rest

Well if your control arms are moving around thats the bushes you need to replace. Not the actual arms.

just get an itemised bill with labour cost at the bottom, you will soon see what he is ripping you off on. Also it wouldnt hurt to ask another mechanic.

well these are the joys of owning a car

when u start to work on suspension bits it can be expensive

removing bushes pressign them in and out can be time consuming

so most of the things u said will be labour

Looks about right to me...

The biggest cost you have there are the upper and lower control arms which unless you have bent them in a acco should never have to be replaced.
