Why laugh? Any rwd car can drift. Competing in a drift race may be different.

Cheers

Personally i reckon its pretty cool, a supercharged v8 taking it too the 4 banger boys. But if you read into the article it only had basic mods. But the next ones meant to be purpose built for drifting Cool

yes i agree

sometimes this forum can be abit biased

sprinters and 180 sx's arent the only cars that can drift

all u need is rock solid suspension and be able to spin both wheels

The Vipers and Pontiac GTO aren't doing too shabby in the US Drifting Championship.

It was more the way the article was written then the cars themselves. basicly saying that the 4cyls wont stand a chance etc.!

are you telling me that most the guys out there that go drifting care about what there track, castor and how strong there chassis is

maybe the purpose built cars are

but most of the cars are street driven 180 sx's

not many can afford to spend 20 grand on a purpose built drift car

its just like the street drags at the creek

how u drive it on the street is how u drag it and how u drift it

ive seen some of these guys and some wouldnt even know what castor or track is Smile

On the Option US Special vid, theres a guy (sounds ozzy) that does up a Pontiac/GM GTO with a V8 and competes against the D1 drivers, he actually pulls it off quite well, but not as well as the D1 drivers (No chance). Though the car was pretty much stripped to a bare shell and rebuild for DORIFTO!!!
