Just throwing this out into the wind for the moment...

I have a 1G-GTE, has a chopped loom, ECU (no AFM as the prick broke it Mad ) and is otherwise complete without a gearbox of course. It's a gen 2, with the water to air intercooler.

I do have pics, but they are limited and a bit dodgy. The motor is in Ballina atm, so i cant take more pics.

If someone offers enough... i *might* be able to fix up the loom and chase down an AFM for it, but this is subject to availability and costs of course Razz

So offers anyone?

Short motor, does that mean without head and anxilliaries? Also, what are the conversion bits and pieces for an ra28?

Edit: I meant, does that mean you also have the other bits and pieces to put it into an RA28?

short motor means no gearbox.

the engine is complete - flywheel, turbos, intake, water to air IC etc etc....

just the loom is cut at the back of the engine...


As for the conversion thing, i meant i can sell the engine as part of a service where i do the conversion for you, if that makes it easier for anyone otherwise too scared to take on a 1ggte conversion. I dont have any of the specific bits, but i have the knowhow.

well - its actually sitting on a pallet at my cousins house in Ballina right this very moment. That's only a 3 hour drive for you at most from Brissy Smiley =

Getting more and more interested (ie very), I figure I can buy it if I find a buyer for the 18rg + solex's + efi gear.

Might be able to find an auto box also, perhaps courtesy of thechuckster.

Know if the tailshaft doesn't have to be modded for the auto box?

What condition was the engine in, when was it last run and how did it go etc.

i havent actually seen the engine yet! believe it or not.

I bought it as a half baked idea that kinda got swept under the carpet and left behind, so that i can concentrate on making my damned celica go again how i have planned.

From all the pics it looks good, clean and probably OK. Obviously i havent run it, and i doubt it's been run recently, but it has been garaged permanently, with all intakes and turbos covered for protection.

If you were in Sydney, i might even consider some trade on the 18R-G gear.... but oh well Razz

Ok, due to a falling through of a couple of buyers, this engine is back on the market.

offers above $300 will be considered, else im keeping it for no particular reason Smile

Its still situated in Ballina NSW (near Byron Bay), and i still havent seen it.

For $300 with all the bits, provided that the engine hasn't been used and therefore thrashed, I'll take it. We do need to organize delivery to melborune though. Other than that, I'd bet happy with it, provided that it's all in one piece more or less.
