Purchasing engines from Z are usually good.

I do not know of their conversions. Do your usual shopping around first.

I think if you use 'worked' in the past tense then you'd be right Graham...or have I read something wrong Confused

I have a question i have a choice at the moment of going from a 3.2L 7m to either a 1JZ-GTE or a 7M-GTE both with an R1450 gearbox and i was wondering what would give me more power, i relise the 7M is flawed with head problems i have that problem with my current motor but the guy and 4's n more reckons if i put a 2mm titanium HKS head gasket in that it is no longer a problem, what would you all do ?

Which engine gives you more power is a function of how much you're spending, not always engine design.

1jz is newer and faster in stock form. 7M can be built well, but is an older design and has established HG issues, so you'd need to overcome these from the start. The 1jz requires no real work to be reliable. In either case you'll need a front cut. A 2JZ would be the best engine, but it all depends on how much $$$ you have.

An alternative would be to rebuild the 3.2Lt 7M-GE and bolt the 7M-GTE turbo gear onto it (thus ending up with a NA-T).

I would think twice about getting RPM to wash my car, let alone work on it.
