goose, this is a corolla, and it just got new water pump and timing belt so it should be fine. this 4ac had better compression than 2 others ive had..

the head gasket needs to be replaced before the car can be driven tho, i think. im not a mechanic so i could be wrong.

The ol' 4AC is quite a solid thing. If the head gasket is blown and all the water either pisses out of the block or into the oil, and therefore has no cooling, a trial has shown the beast can still run for at least 4 mins on FULL throttle at about 7000rpm without any problem! Very Happy

sean, make me an offer the worst i can say is no

i havent checked to see if it is a cracked head, but i doubt it, as the gasket had been going for a while before i stopped driving it

if it was running id be looking for around $1k, because its not i spose about $700
