Spring Question:: Thu, 30 September 2004 04:34 Go to next message
Would compressing a spring with spring compressors to full compression be enough to effectively "reset" the spring shorter?

- do springs ever reach full compression on the road?

No, you can only "reset" a spring using some heat treatment process I won't pretend to understand. Where's OldCorollas when you need him?

And no, your springs shouldn't reach full compression - the bump stops should prevent that.
