I dont think there is anything really subtle about the Mk2 shape. Definetly tough looking.

My new Yoki, A500's in 255/45/17 have all but fixed my traction probs. Only get a small chirp from 2nd to 3rd now @ 115k's !!
1st to 2nd is still a bit of a prob though.

I was gunna go 275's to fill the guards but I got these extra cheap.

Yeah, I'll be in the market soon for new rear tyres. Whatever I get should be better than these second hand P6000s...

Prolly stick with 235s though. Might go down to series 40s, depends on the price.

Dont go down to 40's if you have traction probs. go up to 50's !!!

my ideal tyre fo rthe rear is 275 45's, should give me enough sidewall to end all traction probs alltogether.

I came across them by accident. Was looking to buy some rims to solve my traction problems. I was offered the rims 17x7.5" with tyres for $750!
Didn't really want 17"ers and they looked ugly, but it was a bargain!

The amazing thing is that everything seemed to meld together once they went on the car. They actually suit the car really well!

If you're interested, they're a European brand called Rem-O-Tech. I've seen a few around, but only 15" and 16" versions.

hehe I'm not actually sure why... Maybe different people have a different definition of what 2" is.... Smile
I was actually shocked when the car was dropped down for the first time after the lowering job. Didn't expect it so low.

The tyres sit higher up the guards partially because of the big wheels (especially the rear)...

I have the r154 5 speed, with 3.9 LSD gears.

Dont ask about top speed with this setup, I havent grown the coconuts ... YET. (expect over 260).

Dan, i was just looking at the pics of your car, especially the front pic, and you or anyone else, might be able to help me out...

the front of your car (below bonnet, inbetween headlights) looks quite clean on your car... Cool , i had a look at taking mine off, so that i could clean behind it. problem is tho, its like glued on, and ya cant get it off...what ya reckon i should do??

Dunno mate, mine has a rubber thing that sits ontop of the headlight and cushions between the bonnet... is that waht your talkin about?
