What's Group S???
When it was looking like Group B was starting to get a bit too dangerous the "rule makers" came up with a formula where the manufacturers could run full on prototype cars but with a maximum of 300HP. This was aimed at keeping the technical growth taht Group B had fostered but making it safer, it's a lot like WRC really.

The problem is that group B really was too dangerous and when one of the Stratos's literally dissintegrated in a crash that killed the driver the decision was made to kill Group B and Group S as well.
