1. Do a search, this has been asked many times in the last few months.

2. Tell us what engine is already in your hilux, this will help.

3. Not knowing your experience and facilities at your diposable its hard to know whether or not you will find a conversion hard to do.

4. Whatever the case you may have to get more realistic with your budget.

My mates dad put in a motor from a commodore but i dunno how much this would cost he did it pretty cheap as he bought a crashed commodore from an auction and did almost all of the work himself.
I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have spent much more than 5 grand

what is price of a 1gg v6 comm
or 1uz

i know a 1uz is 1500 bucks

1gg is similar

so engine choice is only a couple hundred bucks different

least if u use a 1gg or a 1uz all u need is bellhousing
and use orig gbox and mounts

my hilux was auto so i fitted auto from 1uz bolted up no mods
just new spline on tailshaft

5000 is alot of money
if u can afford 5000 then just save abit more
say 6 or 7 grand do most work yrself then u will have very nice job

if 5000 will get u a wuich rush job then better to save abit more and do it properly

my 1uz auto in my 92 hilux drives like a dream
sooo smooth
never fuks up
starts first go
etcccc

sideshow, ummm, you really buy 1uz's for $1500?

i guess you just gotta look around.

btw, ill be needing your services real soon...

so umm, does anyone know what a uza80 is?

no
i got my 1uz for a very good price
sorry not allowed to tell

but the average price for a 1uz with complete wiring and ecu and airflow and ignitors is 1500 to 2000
depending which model

if u got one for 500 with everything then yr lucky

but i doubt u would gert it for 500 with all the electrics from a proper shop

UZA80 = JZA80 (Mk4 Supra) with a 1UZ-FE in it I guess, doesn't some factory in Japan race a 'UZA80'? Jun or someone like that if I remember correctly..
