How many k's on the engine and how much/fast is it eating it? It's normal for an older engine to burn a bit of oil.

excessive oil consumption is a 5M factory designed feature not a problem...

if you wanted low oil consuption in a 5M you remove the engine from the car and stop using it

My freshly rebuilt 1G-GTE (not including rings though) doesn't leak the slightest bit of oil... not one single drop!

Toyota's are good with oil usage if they are looked after.

yep the 22re likes to drink oil at a decent clip, its been using quite a bit lately until it got parked until I get it repaired, it's just burning it though, I know thw rings are stuffed but cant be bothered replacing them as one dont have money 2 aren't going to keep the car past the start of next year and three its still runs fines with plenty of go.
