sorry tyottsoarer, no "gt master" for you!
Just cracked a 1:07.581 in the supra, not on drift mode though - its sideways enough as it is..
No screenshot, but i could email a replay if you have an xport?
I used to have a bastardised ~4500hp 4wd Falcon that lapped midfield in just under 30 seconds.. it was "challenging" to drive

Challenge accepted and then ......... smashed
Was wondering can anyone match this top speed 1128.1km/h
here's my 1/4 mile time, it's nothing special you can probably beat it.
If you want a real challenge, purchase a supra rz. Then give it everything in the tune shop. Then purchase simulation tyres. When you've done all that try to finish a lap of midfield without traction control.
If you can do that try and beat this time in a toyota gt1 around seattle.

Speaking of flitches, anyone had that super kool UFO glitch, u keep spinning around in circles like u r a pintop, like u r floating one inch off the track, and not touching teh ground, and you cant resume driving or anything, u just spin and float.

Nope. done similar in really crazy powerful cars (like ones that have been fiddled with to make 000's of hp), but not really floating.
You can see "UFOs" at grand valley, but its just the other cars on the other side of the track

i only have gt2, and i won some car, saved the game (got a bad feeling as i was saving) and because i had 100 cars, it cleared out my garage, and now all i have is 500,000,000 yen (i got a dodgy japanese burnt copy) and a sileighty. as soon as i change cars i will loose the car i am in too (race modified treuno, looks like a D1 car:P - top speed is only 160km/h with the super close mission!!).
now ive lost all my cars, what race to you win to get the castrol toms supra in GT2? or do you buy it? then i will defeat your record!!!
actually, i probably won't, but ill give it a go...

Geez I use to play this game all the time (I could be the master), now I get home from work chuck it on a buy any good drift car (eg: silvia, Trueno, etc even the 300ZX), buy everything, then go to settings and fully set it up for drift. I MEAN PROPERLY!! and then see how well I can link up all the courses. My favorite is Apricot Hill, then I spend hours looking at replays until I realise I've been drifting pointlessly for 3hrs. Maybe I should beat your challenge...?
Question how do you get those screenshots up? I can't do it but I just wanted to know.

I got sick of doing laps of midfield.
nice time mate
I got a 103.8 before I gave up though.
I like laguna seca more. Anyone got any trueno sprinter times on laguna seca? I love racing my sprinter on that track. Although after a long stint trying to get the polyphony below 1 min I knocked all my trueno records off the table.
1:23.393is my best now.

What do you mean? You get progressive steering with the analogue on the dual shock. I had a wheel for the PS1 and it wasn't much good. the controller is the best I think.

i'll get my digi camera working..
i'm going back down to flog that time..
i need to play with the bubension some more me thinks.. its setup for drift (low and hard) with traction control on..

If you go to gran turismo mode and go to your home there'll be a test&tune mode (or run&settings or something) use that, it's juat like arcade mode free run.

faaaaark that! midfield is the worst track! whats with all that double apex shit! the only decent corner is that 2nd gear number before the tunnel leading ont the straight.. hahah the 2nd lap that i tried i posted a miracle 1:06.455 then couldnt get under it.. did about 35 laps then threw my control at the wall..
i'll stick to dorifting trial mountain... goooold

ang on.
suspension tuning?
I guess we're not in the arcade car anymore?
Are we just free-for-all in the castrol supra - super-soft tyres, 900 hp etc??
'cos if so these 1:00.xxx 's suddenly look much more achievable

is gt2 any different? i dont have gt3, yet. i bought the castrol toms supra (didnt touch the settings), switched discs, and played arcade time attack on midfield and got 1 03.
maybe gt2 is faster, because i didnt really race that well, i could never get the hairpin before the tunnel right, and it didnt always get the best racing line, but still 1 03?

nope.. i bought the supra, set the spring rates as hard as they would go and dropped the mongrel on its arse.. (drift spec ) no tyres no mods. my arcade mode doesnt work and i was competing in a beginner league race.. god, those standard civics dont put up much of a fight these days
i was doing my best to get a mid 1:06.. pullin all sorts of early braking, racing line shit.. i havent done that since i did my licence tests (werent those things a c#*t!!)
late brake.. drop 1 or 2 gears and doriiift hahah
what tracks does everyone use as their specific driift track?
i use trial mountain, as i've mentioned, to test all my cars..

ugghgh.. licence tests
Yep, 1:06s i can understand (but not catch), its the 1:00s i was thinkin of.
If i feel like fanging around sideways i go get something like an old r32 gts, lock the diff & go round complex string backwards .. that's my "drift track"
