Its funny how Suzuki managed to make a more powerful engine for their GTi and it didn't need 11:1 compression and PULP to survive...

Suzuki have more experience in the performance field.. with their bikes and all..

But isnt Isuzu, Suzuki, Dihatsu just different branches of a bigger motor co.?

Talking about swifts.. i saw a Gti today, it looked like your ordinary Swift Gti but it had a tach.. We i drove past it going opposite directions i heard a different tone that it was giving off. Then i knew this one hella of a sleeper.. From what i can hear, it drove past not reving so much.. But you can hear from the engine that its been worked quite alot.

Nope, GM owns Isuzu and a chunk of Suzuki, whereas Toyota owns most of Daihatsu.

I drive the Sirion's at work all the time and the GTVi's have some unexpected balls in the bay... Even the auto's push quite hard...

On the subject, I had a chance to drive one of the all new 100 series Land Cruiser V8's on Friday and they go hard... The new Cruisers will only be released in the V8 and the Turbo Diesel models... I don't have the exact figure of hp, but the last Prado model had around 100kW at the motor for the turbo diesel... Not bad...

Actually these Sirions don't go too badly.

I had a couple runs with one a month ago that had a few stickers and from what I could tell it just an exhaust. It pulled quite well for a little 1.3l car. Was quicker than a couple 4age corollas I have raced.
