I have a automatic front cut coming from japan. It doesnt have the motor and gearbox but has everything else for the repair.Im paying $1800 for it but i'll sell it for a bit cheaper with the car.

it will take around 4 to 8 weeks from now to come here.

by the way, my car is a manual.

HOW THE HELL DO U KNOW IF ITS WORTH IT OR NOT.

I SPOKE TO A PANEL BEATER AND HE SAID JUST GET A HALF CUT AND HE'LL TAKE OFF THE FRONT END AND PUT ON THE NEW ONE FROM THE HALF CUT AND NO ONE WILL EVEN KNOW IT HAD A SMASH.

HE WASNT TOO WORRIED WHEN HE SAW THE CAR.

SO I GUESS YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT TO THE EXPERTS AND JUST CRAWL BACK UP WHERE YOU CAME OUT OF.

CHEERS

Righteo, im not too sure how the hell your going to do it and make money. Maybe some cheapie way.
The way that i would do is by doing a quarter cut or you could try pulling it out in place yourself.
You could very well do it the way your saying but hell i wouldn't like to be in the car ever again if it had an accident. The thing would fall apart.

Now let's face the odds. Your paying lets say $4500 for the car minuim! then you got your quarter cut and so forth which will set you back around the $1800 dollar mark at the cheapest! around $2500 would be right. Then we have rego so well throw away $1k there aswell. So lets add this up...

$4500 +
$1800 +
$1000 +
--------
= $7300

Now let it be my guess that these things are worth around the $8500 with 12 months rego. Not really worth at the stuffing around. Then on top of that, you have no idea what else is buggered ( engine wise ), maybe the cv's have carked themselves.

Basicaly to sum it all up i saw that the car wasn't worthwhile fixing in my own opinoun. Then after that i gave you goodluck with the sale. Thats all. Rolling Eyes

Well Maybe there is someone one here, or wherever else he has posted it, that is a panel beater and would love this. Cost them next to nothing to fix and then Sell it and make a profit.

P.s $1800 is expensive for a 4efte cut, especially auto. They are around $1450 down here.
