Hi guys
Normally when you buy a water pump it's a complete unit. Except in this case, it seems.. Repco vends just the centre cartridge. It doesn't come with the housing/outlet... which is the bloody bit I need! I tried to explain this to three different people at Repco, all of whom looked at me like I was requesting parts from a vehicle made before the industrial revolution. When I eventually explained it by getting another water pump off the shelf, pointing to the outlet and saying "O-U-T-L-E-T... OUTLET!" I think one of them coined on... he had a bit of a look but then came up empty handed and said they couldn't get one.
Has anyone bought one of these, and could you be kind enough to point me in the direction of someone who knows what I'm talking about and will be able to supply one?

i'd go searching the wreckers for the housing - even budget auto parts (oxley) list them goddam expensive.
there's bugger all to wear out in the housing - why are you replacing it? is usually the pump cartridge that needs replacing.
cheers,
Charles.

Corrosion and prudence
I will price a new one from Toyota but would be surprised if the part was even still available, let alone priced reasonably.
Wreckers might be the go, but I hate putting old shit back on an engine.
