And if you get an EPA fine, it aint pretty..... A high-flow cat won't cost you any power anyways.

As for exhaust, a APEXi N1 Evolution cat-back system as I have on mine will cost you around $1,200 landed from Japan.

Surprised $1200, my fully flanged racing exhaust with spare muffler, and a section to put a resonator in only cost me $600.

EDIT: And thats INCLUDING cat.

What do you mean "fully-flanged"? Is it stainless?

The other quote I got was from Liverpool exhausts and that was at least $1,500 excluding extractors.

All up, my exhaust cost me $1,800 including custom tuned length 4-1's and high-flow cat.

Stainless steel, painted black (aesthetics). From extractors to tip:
- 4-1 TRD copy (i think) matched length extractors from Ant Kellam $250
- Flange
- Flex Join $50
- Flange
- 2.5" Highflow Cat
- Flange
- Section to swap Resonator into
- Flange
- Lukey tripleflow 2.5" Muffler (under diff)
- 2.5" pipe for tip.

The entire system is 2.25" And i also have a second muffler for rego and fending off robbers with. Thats a 1 1/2" restrictive as crap cheapo thing which goes over the diff.

Flanges are the places where you can unbolt sections to replace them. Makes it much easier to swap bits around.

Oh, yeah, I know what flanges are, just didn't understand what your "fully flanged" comment was about. My exhaust has lots of flanges too!

Well, when I'm in Melbourne in December, I'll be sure to shake your hand for getting such a cheap exhaust!

im expecting mine to be cheaper, but thats using a second hand resonator and doing it all myself, just realised today how easy exhausts are to do. not using any flex joints either.

takai, thats a damn good price, i'd like to check out your 4-1 extractor/s some day.

i rang up vicroads a while back and the guy assured me that it was ok for me to not run a cat, this was possibly before you had to use the emissions control from the doner engine, rather than the recipient car (if there was such a time)

i used to run my 4ac on optimax, is this any different?

i need to contact Mr kellam to get a super pro clutch line, i had better get to work i think.
