Friend of mine downloaded it.
Saw it.
LOVED IT
Storyline isn't up to the other films, but it's just so cool to watch them fight each other!!!
If you're a fan of the Alien or Predator films, watch it! You won't regret it.
I'll be watching this in the cinemas for sure when it comes out on the 30th Sept.

well im a diehard fan since i was about 10... and i've read all the AvP books too... if only the movie was based on the first book, 'prey', its awesome...
but in that it goes on to give a big insight into the predator way of life etc etc
and basically, only 'blooded' warriors are allowed to hunt humans- a warrior is blooded after they do well on an alien hunt, when their leader/elder will use the acid blood of an alien to mark a scar (individual to the predator, like a signature) in between the younger predator's eyes...
anyway, what im getting at, is that in the books, the blooded (elder, more experienced warriors) are said to have an almost samurai-like grace to their fighting... and from the online trailer, the predator looks about as graceful as a big dump.... so im hoping that he's just a young guy (ie shit)....
big rant. if you really give a shit look at my website i made in grade 6... and never updated...

yeah the plot is kinds follows what u say.
It was an alright movie, the plot was fairly simple, the human characters didn't have much dialogue, the action was good, altho i thought the aliens would have gotten their arses kicked.
Personly i prefer the franchises seperate offerings.

i went and saw alien vs preditor couple hours ago and i gotta say it is the biggest load of shit.
the story line is great but the actual movie is crap. They do stupid things like most horror movies "oh lets walk off by ourselfs"
The preditors got there asses wooped and they done stupid things "oh lets take our masks off while there are face huggers around"
they should of explained how the pyramid worked?
When the preditor sliced the aliens there metal melted but when they shot the net at it and the net sliced them it didn't brake or melt????????????
not very happy
still didn't pay for the movie had a free pass

I thought it was the other way around. The movie was great, but the storyline was shit.
Who cares how the Pyramid worked? It just did.
And as for the Predator weapons melting, it seemed to me that only the wristblades melted, the spear seemed to be fine after getting blood all over it. Also the net did break, thats how the Alien got out of it.

i saw it, and i was pretty skeptical... and didn't mind it...
its like they took a lot of the cool bits from the book, and put them in a shit plot, with bad human actors, and a dew other flaws....
but it was enjoyable nonetheless... the queen was cool

why in most horror movies, once most people die, the last few become hardcore and run around not one bit scared?

to be honest I thought it was quite forgettable
I am totally not trying to trash it or anything, but I was like "meh"
it wasn't scary enough either.. the Aliens movies were kinda scary.. this wasn't at all, though it did have some "mess with your expectations" moments
Resident Evil though I just CANNOT wait for have loved the first movie since it came out and just so stoked they were making another
anyway... not trying to hijack soz

I watched this last night. I went in with very low expectations, but somehow came away disappointed anyway. I was just bored! The action was generic, the plot was apparently written on a napkin, the acting was wooden, and there was no character development... when the humans started getting picked off one by one it was difficult to care. Oh another one died, who was that guy anyway?
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but it's not a shadow of the classic Alien movies which, despite much inferior special effects, were actually scary and interesting. I guess that's what happens when people with actual talent make a movie.
Some of you guys are obviously more easily impressed though!

Yeah i must say i'd hoped it'd be better, i think they were onto something but the result was rushed, it annoyed me that the whole story was revealed in a space of 2 minutes, and it was way too short, but i must admit the action parts were rad! mostly cos they didnt overuse CG like so many do these days.
I still say ALIENS is the greatest sci-fi movie EVER bar none!

It was a pretty boring, by the numbers movie. But I liked the concept.
Anyone notice 'Bishop' the synthetic as the billionaire tycoon?
There were so many holes in the logic and story but I just shut up and watched the cool fight scenes.
How romantic though, to befriend a predator...
cheers
tom.

The reason for casting Lance Henriksen was purely to give a subliminal link to the previous aliens movie...Weyland apparently has no connection with the android line.
I thought the movie was worth about a 6/10 only because of:
the fact that predators are attracted to heat, and although in the ancient times when the temple was used it was tropical, it is now freezing....would have been more likely that they would have landed back in the amazon or wherever and go up against Arnie MkII, Kevin Sorbo or something j/k!!! just a joke!!
Aliens are hive minded creatures, but behaved all too independently in this movie...typical alien style is to overrun the enemy, this was more guerilla tactics, not their style.
Preadtors, being the ultimate hunters got their asses kicked. half way thorugh the movie it was like
Aliens: 8
Predators: too many humans to care
Humans: -10 except for that dude that tried to fight
I would have loved seeing say 5 predators back to back, fighting off great hoardes of aliens like in the clip at the top of the pyramid but better.
possibly this reply is going to cement me as the cokebottle-lensed nerd boy with too much time on his hands....but with around a 10 year gap between the last predator flick and this one, I expected more for my bodgy pirated download

nerd boy !
oh well take one to know one.
Humans screw everything up, them preditors would of wooped ass if they have there shoulder canons.
I saw bishop and thought wtf has he gone back into the future or something?
Can someone tell me why the preditor didn't kill "bishop" the first time when the preditor scans his heart and saw all the spots?
did it know he was going to die or something?

I was really disaapointed when the first two pred's died really early in the movie. Having said that, the third one did kick ass.
I wouldnt be as harsh as 6/10, more like 8/10

cause predators are honourable warriors (like klingons, but less chit chat and posturing hehe)
and seeing Weyland (bishop) was sick there would be no honour in killing a sick, unarmed human...
"he didnt kill you cause you were unarmed....no sport"

Yeah at the end. 'Bishop' turns up. But when he gets smacked in the head, it looks like half his face is falling off, and he doesn't seem to phased about it. While his 'blood' looks red, if you watch the directors cut of Alien 3, the guy who bashes him sais "bloody Android" right before he hits him in the head. I dunno whats going on.

ahhh yes, your quite right...i suppose we can only guess that in the time ripley was in cryosleep between aliens and alien3 there were further upgrades to the androids, even red blood to make them appear more human...
but then howcome Winona ryders android in ressurection had white blood...
I think this is just like star trek VI where klingons had pink blood, but in TNG, DS9 and beyond they had red blood again hehe
We nerds require continuity dammit
