QUOTE: Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Is lying a sin? Doesnt look like it, so, in checking with that, i can say, that ive never committed a sin. Ever. Cool

They have both Arrogance and Pride. Both of them are bad (especially combined like that). Well most do anyway. I have met some nice wogs who I don't feel sick around.

And isn't everything a Sin? Isn't the point that we can't escape sin, so we have to beg forgiveness from Jesus or something? I dunno, I'm not religious at all.

Yeah, but isnt that some sort of loophole?

I mean, the asking forgiveness and really meaning it, and then you get it, right?

So, technically, doesnt that mean you could be a real bad ass throughout your entire life, killing people, etc, but as you lay dying on your deathbed, and you asked forgiveness, and meant it, isnt that supposed to wipe the slate clean?

But just remember, how do you know when you are going to die. You dont. If you lead a good life then you are covered, if you dont, you are taking a big chance in my opinion. But it is each to their own, everyone has a choice.

one of my workmates is a heaps full on chrisso and i was talking to him about this kinda shit one day. aparently a charity worker who spends all day helping children, but doesnt believe in god, will go to hell, but a serial killer who sincerely asks for forgiveness will go to heaven. sounds pretty fucked up to me.

he will only go to heaven after many years in purgatory. And if that charity worker does not believe in God, then, in their mind, they wont go to heaven or hell, because they dont exist.
