It really is quite simple, as many as it needs.


For Example:
Need more colour coverage, more coats.

Need to fill out those small dings, more primer-surfacer.


But in all honesty, grab yourself a copy of the book 'Automotive Paint Handbook' by John Pfansteihl you'll learn all you need to know and more.
