2T-G head numbers Wed, 13 October 2004 09:45 Go to next message
Can people give me some general information on the different 2T-G head numbers??

Im looking at buying a 11111-88230 head... Ive been told its a 2T head but after searching I seem to find that its an 18R-G head. Is that correct? (and before you say search...I have and toymods search sucks hard...google found more on the toymods forum than the toymods search did...)

Hi,

Yeah, sounds like an 18RG head to mee too.

As far as head-types go, it depends what you want to do with the engine. For standard carbie N/A 18RG, get the 210 head 'cos it had the highest compression and was the most powerful stock 18RG that was made - 145bhp. If you're going EFI and turbs, then get the later heads (ie such as the 230).

230 is 18rg i have one if you want confirmation with a pic

btw 210 and 230 heads have smaller ports and valves 250 are larger there are some 253 that look the same as 250's and the 253 and 270 have the largest ports and valves these are the pick of the rg heads

I very much doubt it.

Does any one know the cylinder spacings for the 18R?

2T's cylinder spacings are 99mm, 101mm, 99mm from memory(I will double check).

I was just mildly interested in the cylinder spacing for the sakes of this thread.

I remembered that I have an 18R block at home - so I will get around to it before 2010.
