Kei cars in OZ? Tue, 15 October 2002 06:41 Go to next message
I was reading an old HPI mag today and was wondering why don't they import Kei cars to Australia? I think the craze would go off with high petrol; prices in OZ. I read that the Subaru REX has a 2cy supercharged engine and can beat a 2 litre Silvia over 400m. I was impressed. Also they said this was one of the slower ones too. Some of the 660cc Tubo models have 100kw stock and the ability to go a lot more. I reckon a car with 12" rims with that much power would be a blast. Mini's were VERY popular years ago and even the new ones are popular (But damn expensive) so HERE HERE to the Kei cars

I think the racing class is limited to around 47kW, but that's not to stop the public from extracting crazy figures out of them for the street.

I love cuppacinos! I always thought the Honda Beat was a bit ugly, but they've grown on me (easier to modify too, just throw a few Type R badges and away you go! Razz ). Some of those little minivans are also awesome! The Subaru Rex isnt bad either. They should all be awesome on fuel!

Yeah I reckon a chick in a Cappachino would be a great look, but I just don't see many of them about Crying or Very Sad

Cappuccino IMO look awesome. Only problem is they sell for $15k -$18k. I can't remember in which magazine i saw it in, but somewhere in Asia there is a Cappuccino going around with a 4AG 20V squeezed in the engine bay.
