icon7.gif  LSD for AE86? Thu, 14 October 2004 02:28 Go to next message
Hey guys i was wondering if you could help me with some info?

I was looking up prices of suspension and shockers so i ended up calling pedders and they said they could do the shockers, stiff suspension and sway bar for $1794. (is that decently priced?)

Only thing is i want to get an LSD in there first (instead of a locked diff) - so i've been calling a few places but they dont seem to stock it, the best they mentioned was different jap wreckers.

Have you guys got any info?

Thanks heaps!

Search and you will find the answer ... this has been covered to death in the technical section.

Btw, I got some new coilovers for the front and rear springs from Pedders and only paid $900 ... depends on how well you get along with the manager - he even modelled the custom shocks on a mate's blue TRD shocks ... Smile

Yeah ... frankly I wouldn't go to Pedders and also Fulcrum suspension for that ...

Let's just say that we used the equipment available at Pedders to get the result we wanted ... heh heh ...

All custom made - no way you're gonna be able to walk into any Pedders store and order these ... Laughing

New ones Josh - we took Shane's TRD shocks out when he was in Japan last and we examined the shock characteristics etc, then used Pedders equipment to manufacture a custom set based on them.

Springs are apparently HKS from some sort of supra. We're yet to manufacture the springs for the rear. Cambertops are apparently HKS ones which I got off Simon a long time ago in exchange for his levin whiteline lights.

Also, I just got the 35mm RCA's from T3 in the States this week.

All waiting to go into the 2nd AE86 - we need to roll the guards first as these would really drop the car. I may fit them on the panda in the meantime but you know how long these things take ... Rolling Eyes

If you are still after an LSD I can order them in from Japan, takes up to 4 weeks to have one found, and sent to your door.

$600.
