how? because that would be the exact car i was thinking about buying, but i decided 8k for a 20 year old car wasnt worth it, for what i wanted. i would love a levin, but not for how much they cost.

Would it be worth it to get a sprinter, and put a 4AGZE in it, LSD and change the breaks to disk breaks or would that cost as much as a jap spec?
Thanks

OBviously you are a newbie. Everyone wants a fully sick 4agze sprinter!..
well here is the run down.
1. Stock sprinter, Some rust, fairly good condition, bout $3000 if u r lucky.
2. ae92 4agze front cut, abou $2k.
3. Parts + incidentals for installation (1k)OR getting someone to install it for you between 2 - 5k.
4. LSD disc brake rear end, 1.5k to 2k.
5. Front jdm disc brakes, or after market brakes 500.
6. Suspension mods, 750-2k.
for about 7k, you may be able to find an engineered 4agze sprinter, nothing else.

HAHA I love this...
Okay takumi, before you rip up mt akina with your hachi roku, you'll need over 10 grand for a really nice jdm ae86. 8 grand could probably get you one but it wont be all that good.
Unless you really wanna be like takumi or your obsessed with 86's, it would be silly to be paying upwards of 10 grand for one... a turbo silvia, 180sx or something would be a better bet for jsut about everything you could want.
if you decide to fork out for a nice jdm 86, congrats, but you'll be needing 3.5 times the cash your willing to pay. You could always buy a nice little aus spec and get blown away at traffic lights, roundabouts, corners, hill climbs etc by excels and charades.
You will need about 6-10 grand for a nice aus spec sprinter with 4age and basic suspension alone. And dont be surprised if that charade still takes ya on roundabouts and traffic lights
peace

i bet 50% of ae86 owners didn't care much for the 86 before initial d came out...
i know i didn't... now im a hardcore ae86 fanatic...
|
same with me
when i first saw initial d i was like "why did they make a cartoon about a old banger?" but now i love them
good luck finding a car dude, try and find an aus spec with at least a 4age conversion already. you should be able to find one with at least that for under $5k (then again, that would depend on which state you are in )
