it's back and its very happy!!! Very Happy
it used to have to idle at 1600 to be smooth, now it can hold a idle at 800rpm smoothere than before
it pulls a fair bit harder from 3000rpm to 4000rpm but peak power isnt too much more i dont think

it hits 70rwkw at 4700 rpm
peaks at 78rwkw at 6200rpm
back down to 76rwkw at 6800rpm, the graph ends there...

very happy with it, only came to $417!! so LSD here i come!

big thankyou to river and rod for talking me into it!

Good to hear ! Those Kw figures sound quite impressive.

Do you know what they actually had to go to get it running better? Like was it the jet sizes or cam timing?

apparently the dizzy was way out, he re calibrated that and disconnected the vacumn advance and said it made a huge difference!
im not sure what else he played with, he fixed a broken float pin in one of the carbs so i think he must have rebuilt them or changed jets to have found that, and it was rich before and im sure he didnt give it back to me running rich so he must have re jetted it, and ide suspect he played with the cams, i asked him to check them out,
its amazing how much more go it has down low, i used to have to ride the clutch heaps on take off cause the engine didnt wanna pull the car along under 3000 rpm, i'll try and get the graph scanned and uploaded to this post, unfortunately it doesnt have a torque reading on the graph, just power.
