Real spinners are a 2 part wheel there is the actual wheel then a cover over it that spins on ball bearings.
u can also get "floaters" where the wheel looks to be staying still when the car is moving.
I think spinners are cool but on the right car

Hi,
IIRC, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the spinner the original name for those fancy wheel-centre caps that were on the old wire-mag MGs and Jaguars. You used to be able to buy twin and triple prong chrome spinners that merely replaced your standard round centre cap. It didn't spin on its own - it was just a fancier centre cap that spun (and stopped) with the wheel.

Close. They were called "spin-offs", and they weren't just the centre cap, they actually held the wheel on the hub (ie instead of wheel studs).

i think these floaters are just a fucked spinner, theres a mid life crisis Z3 here in melbourne, 3 spinners and one "floater". i think he just buckled it or fucked the bearings hahahaha serves him right.

u look the "the source" magazine and u will see the ads 4 them

What are floaters?
The lastest model Rolls Royce has centre caps so the RR symobl is always upright and doesn't turn. Is this what you guys mean??
