i bought etch primer to do my car but it seems to come out really thin and run easily...the tin says no thinnning is required...should it come out so thin or should it be like normal primer...
Weird, I've never had paint ready to spray out of the tin! Always needs thinning.
I guess if the tin says no thinning required it would be right. Know the brand etc?
etch primer never needs thinning but if yor spray gun is a very small nozzle then you can add 25ml/ltr.
etch primer is not supposed to come out runny! did you shake it well and stir it? cause the stuff sinks to the botom heaps quick and its probably been sitting at the shop for months too
when you open the can it should look like a grey/yellow colour
when sprayed it is a dark grey colour and very very rough.
once sprayed you do not rub it back at all but spray primer straight on top.
when spraying etch primer you only need 1-2 light coats, its supposed to be dust coated on not sprayed on like primer
