i sat in one in revolution racegear, my hip bones forced it out funny and made cracking noises (the seat, not my bones), i think it was designed for a small person (not that im huge or anything)
they seem cheap, i think choosing a seat is a very hard thing to do, you have to see and sit in one and see if you like it, shop around and see what is available.

dont get obx i have one lolz
Obx seats are okay and they do the job. You dont have to get bride or recaro seats or anything to be more comfortable and what not. Howvever in my opinion try to get some seats with the side mounts so u can adjust the height you sit in.

OBX are cheap, and also they arent ADR approved, meaning defects.
Fixed back buckets are teh way to go imo, nothing holds u better

aahhh
adr approved is important to me!
Also sort of on topic, an engineer I spoke to said that you cant have fixed back seats in a 2-door 4-seater, something about access to the rear?
I can understad why that would be the case (espefcially in case of an accident) - but I had thoght some peeps on here had been engineered with fixed back seats in 2 doors... perhaps you can have 1 fixed back if the other is reclinable?

Load of wank, go read under the front of the seats. The OBX seats do meet the ADR's.
As for OBX being uncomfortable, that all depends, one seat may not fit another person well. Personally, (and I'd imagine I share a similar build to you Draven), my OBX Carrera seats fit me like a glove.

height:6 feet
heaviness: 85 KG.
i haven't really looked at seats much yet, not really a priority at this stage. i do want to buy one that is good though, i sat in an autotechnica monza in an n12 pulsar a while ago and it was aweful.
it makes sense for them to make racing seats for small people, they give the car a power to weight advantage. i remember reading "something" to win, carrol smith was saying that racing car weight limits should include the weight of the driver, so he didnt have to work so hard to beat small people.

I'll vouch for that. I'm 6ft, 69kg and man that was an uncomfortable seat for me.

Hehe, I can see why some people don't like them, I know two people (BlackSupra and Cyber_Punk) who don't fit in them at all, but they fit me like a glove.

Thats cool. I'll agree with you there though, I've sat in a few other OBX seats that were as uncomfortable as the Monza ones. The Carrera's just fitted me perfectly.
