unfortunately none of them.
The Lexus part of the upgrade is the air flow meter, the injectors are aftermarket items.

Lexus injectors are actually around 250 cc. But here is a helpful link. I think you want some RX7 ones.

Kewl, thanks for that. Plenty of info on that site.
Might have to go for some RC ones if no-one out there has any, anyone got any they would like to sell?

the 7M injectors are o-ring type arent they? could you then use mazda series 4/5 RX7 injectors, they are 550cc high impedance.

The ones that go for this sort of money are generally high impedance Nippon Denso injectors. Altough they'll work, they are a little slower acting. Better to have low impedance injectors...

Yeah, i'd prefer to get some low impedeance type ones, RC Engineering are selling them for $95US each! What a rort! I'll wait it out or temporarily put in an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and squeeze some more out of them.
Might try ebay, thanks ed.

mx83toy- fuel pressure regulator: higher fuel pressure = higher injector flow rate = more fuel per duty cycle
make it a rising rate regulator that goes up with boost pressure, and it makes a little more sense.

The companies that I know of that make 550's that will fit the 7M are Nippon and RC. Also if you want to go even bigger, www.maxxautoworks.com sells 720's. They are based out of Seattle, WA area.
For the Lexus AFM, I have been able to get a couple here and there. I have one for sale on ebay right now. If anyone has 550's or 720's that would fit a 7m, we could work out a trade.
Usually 550's in the US go for $535usd new (all 6, RC) and then you have to get the wiring clips ($50 usd). I've seen used one go for $300+.

Think ill start giving all the rotor shops in Sydney a call and get some prices. Its annoying cause i just cleaned my 7MGTE ones only 3000kms ago. Didn't cost me anything anyways. Thanks Grande.

if you run the 440's at 60psi they will be approx 515cc and will handle approx. 445hp. For now run RRFPR while your looking for the 550's. And when they become not enuff up the FP again until even larger Iny's can be found...

Cheers mate, ill definitely be doing that in the short term.
Roughly 445hp is about what i'm aiming for at the flywheel. 380rwhp

ooooold old thread here
I'm in the process of doing the Lexus AFM + 550cc injectors job on my 7M and have just purchased a Walbro 255lph HP fuel pump. Will i need a fuel pressure regulator to go with it? If so what brand/model would people recommend I go for? Paul i notice you're using the Malpassi rising rate model? Can i ask where you purchased it from?
Thanks
Dan

Your car already has a fuel pressure regulator, and unless you have some specific reason to change your base fuel pressure, there's no need to buy another one.

That exactly right! The standard fuel pressure regulator on the 7mgte is more than suitable for your task at hand. I know of someone who almost pulled 250rwkw using the standard regulator and it was fine.
By the way, i had my original 440cc (rated by toyota) flow tested and they were actually 486cc on average. Now before people go blasting me, I'd like to clarify that most injector manufactors rate their injectors with a thicker liquid. Ask any good Bosch specialist.
One other thing I'd like to clarify about injectors. Yes, low impedance are a better injectors for higher revving motors as they can be better controlled under those conditions, but only work well if the injector driver in the ecu is suited to low impedance injectors. Due to the two types of injectors ('peak and hold' and the other i think is called 'peak and shut') the ecu controls them differently.
I used low impedance injectors with an ecu originally designed for high impedance injectors and she ran, but not well. The car actually gained power by using the factory injectors. Don't diss the high impedance ones, but yes the low impedance do offer accurate response once you decide to rev over 9rpm or so. But don't forget the engine output is as good as it's tuner.

1uz-fe afm, 440cc injectors only 40psi fuel pressure is required to get 11.5:1 AFR stock anyway
