How do you tell Recaro fakes?	Mon, 01 November 2004 16:25

I know of Recaros often being duplicated, how do you tell if they are authentic? Do any other brands get duplicated often, I am guessing Sparcos may, what about Bride? [Report message to a moderator]

each recaro has been stammped with its build number and adr compliace number somewhere on the seat also if u take out the lining... you can tell how shoddy build quality fake recaro's are... remember that fake recaro's are built with one thing in mind. MAXIMUM PROFITS... so this means shoddy quality, shoddy safety standards, blah blah blah... the seats would only cost 100-200 to make... [Report message to a moderator]

Usually the the tilt adjustment has recaro on it. The handle should have "recaro" injection formed on it. Not a sticker and not a blank face to the pastic. - Just going on the ones that i've seen so far. [Report message to a moderator]
