the little valve on top of my engine that connects to the carby filter is pushing out alot of air with what looks to be a little bit of white smoke. can anyone tell me what is going on?

the PCV valve? or the rocker breather?

the PCV goes to the plate below the carby, and the breather goes to the air filter..

if it's the air filter one, then you are getting blow-by, and the white smoke is oil burning...
when actual oil comes out that pipe, then you start to worry Wink

re-ring or bore out and put in new pistons. the prob is due to blowby, ie rings not sealing.

how old is motor? mine seem to last about 40-50,000kms before getting significant blowby.. driven nicely they should last 100-120,000 at least.

time for a rebuild? (and ACL oversize pistons Wink )

slightly thicker oil? ie 60 or 70 weight..

that depend sif you get someone else to do it Wink
wholesale you can get pistons and rings for maybe $150 or less.. bore and hone maybe $100... a few gaskets etc,..
prolly not worth it if you are abotu to sell it, but worth it if you were keeping
