Camry V 260Z Tue, 02 November 2004 07:10 Go to next message
I was on my way to watch the QLD round of the drift nationals driving up with a mate when we noticed a maroon 97ish model camry had slowed down so we changed lanes to pass it.
The car had at least 18inch chromies on it and a full exhaust system so we knew that it must have been sum guy who really had a thing goin for camry's Confused

Neway once we passed him you could hear as he dropped it back into 4th and the exhaust started to make its rumbling noise as it started to catch up to us so i decided to give it a bit and was able to easily pull away from him while staying in 5th.

Once we arrived at QR he immediately came up and decided to have a chat about what car we thought was the best drag car on a $20000 budget. Weird guy???

haha yeah it is a 240Z,
yeah it took me about 9 months and regular trips into NSW(i live in brissie) to find me a 260Z that was in fairly good nick, but it was definately worth it. Yeah it is a real worry to see awesome old cars such as celicas, z's, escorts etc becoming so rare as they have so much going for them

I saw a funny camry myself today.

It was green, had the '97 shape, (my favorite camry shape BTW), lowered, fart pipe, and had a huge "fully sic" sticker on the rear window. Very Happy Heh. Bogan bred toyota. Yea, I think it's fully SICK myself.

Even though I do have one myself, and I do like them, I learnt a long time ago to not bother doing anything to them to "do them up", because it's a total waste of time. I've drawn the line at a better air filter and better headlight globes. That's it for me.
