http://www.rollamods.com - dude in brissy who has done both

http://www.4age.net - a few useful guides

http://www.twincam.org/forums - HEAPS of corolla drivin' girls there. Wink

conversion is a piece of piss. Seriously. Im doing one now in an AE101 using an AE101 GT=Z frontcut (4A-GZE), but converting to turbo at the same time.

If you were to do a straight swap, budget about $2000-3000 on top of the front cut price for the conversion, if you do everything yourself. Add $300 if you have to get someone else to wire it.

Isn't that a mandatory requirement? I know the last two had a couple of slab's of Jim and coke supplied!

Hell yeah!... Handling wise, well the standard import AE101 20V crap on the OZ ones, firmer springs... or could go some decent A/M springs, tyres and a set of Koni's jam up there, really makes a difference.

dont u need to get an engine that came out of a LATER model car than your own ???

if i have a 98 ae 101 seca, the only motor that can be legally used for the conversion is the ae111 20valve .. which i am sure will cost a mint http://www.4age.net/tech/importengines.htm

is this right ?
