Thanx man!

I paid for part of it and my parents helped me out. Considered to be lucky and very greatful! I pay for everything now however - insurance, maintenance, mods etc... I've actually been saving up a lot before I bought the Soarer I worked my arse off during school holidays during yr11/12 and even now during TAFE. All the money I had since starting work as well as other money were all thrown at the deposit for the car and part of the payment.

I want to get it lowered ASAP as it currently looks like a 4WD Laughing. Nothing too crazy though, maybe a 1.5"~2" drop all round. I'm still looking for places that can do it for Soarers (I've got TEMS set up on mine).

Sweet... A 1.5" drop doesn't do shit... My brother lowered his car and it still looks the same... I reckon maybe a 2.5 - 3" might be the question... But I spose the 100mm ground clearance has to be considered...

By the way, what is the TEMS set up??? I figure it has something to do with suspension and maybe adjustable??? Pls explain...

I just want to lower the car to fill the huge wheel arch gaps! Shocked ... Are there any places that custom make springs at a good price?

The TEMS set up on twin turbo Soarers...

TEMS = Toyota Electronic Modulated Suspension

How can you tell = There are two small plastic covers on the strut towers with a TEMS label. Underneath them are connectors that run under the bodywork.

What does it do = On twin turbo Soarers that have them fitted, they control the shock rates, depending on the setting (it changes at the flick of a switch). The switch is the transmission mode switch (ECT - PWR/Norm). Many people only think it controls the transmission but on TEMS fitted Soarer TT's it actually also controls the shocks as I mentioned above, i.e. on normal mode the shocks are softish, on power mode they go slightly firmer.
Trick = Find the DIAGNOSTIC port in the engine bay and insert a wire between terminals "Ts" and "E1", shorting them out. This changes not only the TEMS suspension to "trackday" settings (i.e. test conditions, like around a race track) but also controls the steering feedback as well...

fabulous stuff hey?!

I really don't know about custom springs and that...

The TEMS setup sounds wicked...
I have a completely hard front end and the back will soon be that way too...
