Gauge Mounting (more specifically in ae86s) Tue, 09 November 2004 01:44 Go to next message
Where/how have people mounted gauges in their ae86's. I've got a 60mm boostgauge here and Im looking for ideas. I know about the aircon vents, but im looking for other options at the moment. Pics would be really helpful too! Show us your gauge setups! Very Happy

Some really good ones here, keep em comming

AE86Slut: Those are VDO gauges? What are the pods? I really like that setup.

ae86slaver: I can understand why that one is your favourites Smile

That little side panel that is holding the two gauges on the left is that jsut a generic type thing available from autobarn etc..?

Yep, they be VDO's ($40-$60 each!). When you go to the VDO dealer, just ask him for some pods with brackets to suit. It's all VDO stuff. They are just 2 screws each through the bracket and they're mounted!

I considered mounting them higher i.e. somewhere on the dash, but it would ruin my aim of having the car look really neat (well, eventually it will!).
