i just recieved my trd short shifter today and was trying to install it, so i took it apart and was about to put in the spacers. The bottom two holes lined up perfectly but the top hole is a cm or so off . I recently had an auto to manual conversion done so im guessing it may have been a 100 series shift assembly in it as opposed to the ae92 assembly. Is there a difference between the two assemblys? or could i have the wrong spacers sent to me?
Spacers? Do they raise the level of the gearstick??
I've installed a shorter throw stick but it is significantly shorter... I have to lean forwards in order to reach the stick now.
Could you give me more details of the spacers please?
when the ball joint is moved from to stock position, it exends the bottom therefore may hit the bottom of the floor pan. The purpose of the spacers is to give enough space from the bottom of the shifter and the floor pan (well thats my guess anyways)
The kit has now been fitted with a fair amount of fabricating and modifying damn trd lol
