meant to?
something with maybe 95-100 octane..
it is fine to run on unleaded as the valve seats are hardened.
i've been running my K motors hard on premium for a long time.
K motors from the 60;s are fine to run on unleaded... but if octane is too low it will ping

My mate has been running LRP for ages... now he's switched to Premium and is using flashlube valve saver... and the power delivery has improved and the smootheness of the engine has too...And it's stopped blowing smoke

K's run fine on unleaded. my 5K ke70 ran much better on it than good ol' Lurp. Though i did run a Lurp tank once in a while just to try and keep the seats lubricated
