All pm's replied to.
I know i have said the price is firm downwards. But i have just had an amazing amount of interest within the last 5 hours. I don't want to be a wank n promise the car to anyone at the moment being the nice guy that i am. But since i'm an unemployed bastard and christmas is coming indefinately need all teh money i can get. ATM i have an offer for $1800 as is. The car doesn't have to go anywhere anytime soon. I will wait until NEXT weekend before i close the so called bidding. If the bidding goes no higher it is sold. Therefore i am not taking BS offers or deposits.
Sorry to be a c***... it has to be vaguely in my benefits to. Anyone that has been poor and unemployed would entirely agree.

for this price, i think will be good for a project car....if not also, just changing the engine into a 4ag with or without the z....should be a better running car then the 4ac....
i am also interested, but the price is going up and up.....so just wait until i know the right figure.....

you could spend about 500 bux to drop a 4ac in. Putty fill some of the rust and replace the little bits and bobs.
you could spend in excess of $30000 in buying new factory panels, and gutting everything with new factory items.

im in victoria and i will buy it tomorrow, the only problem i have is the rust, i have talk to some people about the car and they say the rust will be very hard and costly, cutting it out will make the roof realy weak and the roof is the car's strong point, at the moment with the rust on the roof like that the car is un-road worthy,
can some body tell me if they have repaired something like that before, is it just surface rust or is the whole area screwed, how much will it cost?
im willing to buy the car $1900 if this can be cheaply repaired.
anyone got any ideas

well, there is no cheap way to repair rust.
A true cut and shut job will cost a lot of money in metal fabrication. Or finding a rust free roof and paying somone to do it. This will last though.
But you get what you pay for. You can get it covered and painted and it should be fine for a couple of years.

i wonder how much will it cost for the whole body check and repair rust area in the body whether heavily or slight damages??
i have check with some mechanic for just engine bay it will cost at least 5k to clean them up and restore back to new.
is 5k for that resonable or just getting cut?

if it's done poorly, rust will apear within a matter of months.
If done properly, rust will come back in a few years. However, you'll never get get the full rigidity again.
Also, the big 'bog' spots will crumble withing a couple of years.
The only way of doing it properly is metal fabrication or panel replacement. This will cost big $$$$. For a car that's got rust here and there, $5k worth of metal work is very common (at a decent panel beater).
But looking at 4ages car, from what I can see, it's mainly surface rust, so it aint that bad.

decent mig welder - about $1300
decent enough grinder - $100
lots of rusted commonwhore panels to practice on - free
spray job and stuff...yeah pricey but
sweet ride that cost u bugger all (its a sprinter for under 10K OMG!) - priceless
seriously, someone buy the car is a bargain, weak spots BAh weld some bracing throught the car...sorted, i know that someone will have a problem with my opinion/suggestion but thats all it is, take it as u want

I shouldn't have to voice out the condition of this car. It should almost sell itself. Heaps of offers. Doesn't hurt for more.
Rust is surface. Easy to fix. I would say the most enduring part of the car is driving it to a sunroof joint for a quote?

I have been Matched with the price. A mate of mine put it on the trading post. But as for me not taking deposits fullstop. I am not sure who is the time wasters so far. But thanks for feedback/interest. I would keep the car as the body is better than 95% of other sprinters. But to start again from scratch is most likely a very stupid idea.

FFS! The rust is sweet fuck all. It isnt anything structural.
You'll be fine to cut it out yourself, buy some good rust preventive paint (try POR 15) and some filler and alike all for less that $60. Then spend a day or so...then you have yourself a clean hachi. Road-worthy...pfft I see plenty of absolute rust buckets on the road everyday, police are usually more interested in modified cars than stock cars with a bit of rust.
Some person buy this car!

Thanks guys.
As i have replied to a few of u via pm.
*The car IS on the trading post*
From discussion with family and friends. The car obviously CAN sell for more. Which isn't entirely what i was intending at first. I hate to say it but SOME people. Just are purely anal about rust! For gods sake my friends 2002 rav 4 has started to rust in places. If u are genuinely interested in the car CALL ME! Look at the car!
It isn't that bad! If u would like to look at my 86 in WIP. That thing for more rust x 5.
P.S drift king. If u don't have anything decent to say. I have no other way to put it. Umm bugger off? Buy a s15. Bets are u still aint any type/shape/form of a drift king.

Fark, this is a steal - Good Luck with the sale mate, hope the moneys come in handy for the holiday period. To all the guys bitchin about the rust, buy the car, get some sand paper n start at the surface rust. Then if there is some deeper shit, which i hear there isn't, take it down to your panel beater and get them to cut n shut it. I had quoted 300 for a few holes under my boot seal and a slight amount in my sill - This is welding new bits in place and for 300 bux, thats fuckin great!
Then learn a few basic painting techniuques and go. Project guys, project. Get the body ok and while your doin that get some freakin suspension and an engine.I dont know if you've checked for sales but you can get heaps of parts for these through here and they're all at great prices. For about 1500 bux you could have a half decent driveline/suspension setup and a nice punchy engine. 3k max and you'll hvae a great car.
Anyways, sorry for the essay. Good Luck with the sale mate

Can we keep this thread to a for sale thread not a discussion. Having a discussion here does not help the seller at all with selling the car and if it doesn't stop will end up with th thread being locked.
