gearbox problem.... HELP

hey ive got a 4k-c with a 5speed in my corolla nad 2nd gear started clunking and i dont know y... so for know ive gotta go 1st to 3rd does anyone know what this might mean????????
plz help

clunking? like loud and increases with revs? if so that sounds like a broken tooth.

I went thru 3 m21 gearboxes in my V8 VH commodore i used to have, oh yeah and a diff, made kinda the same noise :/
Pull the box out and take off the inspection cover rotate the main shaft while its in second, you should be able to see if its damaged or not, if its not that i got no idea.

heh heh, done that before.. found about .... all of 2nd gear teeth fell out
