DIY's NEW PROJCT CAR for 2006\2007 Sat, 13 November 2004 22:47 Go to next message
Hi all I am saving for my new project that is to start in '06\'07, I was wanting some feed back on the idea.

To be set up as a RWD
Shell: Late 70's early 80's Suzuki 550 Hatch.
Engine: 1UZFE
ECU: After market with 5 spd or Factory ECU is using auto
Drive Line: Supra 5 spd or auto with 1UZFE
Differential: Ford 9"??
Custom chassis: including removal of all unneccesary items like heater and lower dash. Relocation of Fire wall, and add a trans tunnel
Brakes: front struts replaced with cut down supra ones, using supra disks, rear will use what ever comes on the diff.

Any more ideas? I am open.

Update..
Diff: Hilux for unbrakability, or a T18 diff.

Thank you to all

Arch the car will be street use, no it is not going to be engineered nor is it going through Regency Park to make it legal.

The statement that i will tell the cops is that "I thought it was fast for a 600cc motor"

Scrote, I have to say that the only bit of suzuki that will be original is the outer panels and skin. I am to build a completely custom chassis and the shell will be welded to it. Most of the unwanted and unneeded metal will be cut out. PM sent to you soon.
