And don't forget, some are as rusty as metal in salt water (ie. My SA63 Sunroof). Just check the roof and the lining to see if it has signs of car cancer.
Cheers.

Those are actually called T-Roofs for obvious reasons. MA70s came with a true targa roof. MA6x cars did come with factory sunroof option.
I did test drive a T-Roof converted MA67 here in Canada. Over rail road tracks it squeeked a little and I was afraid a lot of structural integraty was lost when cutting the roof for the install.
Go with a sunroof, less problems.

Sunroofs are the bomb.
Hold out until you find one with a sunroof.
Mine is also factory.
Its cheaper to fix the rust, than to get an aftermarket one put in.

Thanx for that wealth of information guys. Just had a look at some of the sunroofs on american MA61's and they dont look like the one on the car im looking at buying... The ones in america are flush with the car that you have to open to let light in. The one im looking at buying is a glass top but it like sits on top of the roof and slides back along tracks?

Na, i would love a sunroof like one of them! The actual tracks sat on top of the roof if i remember correctly, dammit should've taken a picture. The glass AND the tracks them selves actually sat on top of the roof and the glass moved back and fourth along the tracks on top of the roof. I've sent an email to your email CrUZsida with a pencil picture of how it looks like. Mind the ruff drawings as im rushing to work atm. Hope this helps though.

The $900 one? (I'm pretty sure that was the cost)
A mate just recently put one in his Commodore (VH)
And from the brochure, I thought it would look hideous when open.
But it looks surprising good.
You can barely see the rails even when fully extended.
Comes with a slide cover, surround, and all electrics.
Can be hooked up to alarms to close when you push the button

Yep, the $900 one. I reckon that it would look different having the ZZT231 with it's roof open and to have the MA61 in similar fasion. Though it may be better to tint the windows and not have a roof as it promotes rust.
Cheers.

Bah who needs air-con?? haha... if you really need air-con, I've got the compressor and condensor sitting in my garage. Don't think I'll ever get around to putting it back anyhow. 3 years of driving without air-con and I'm used to it.

Peel back the weatherstrip that is around the sunroof and let the rust begin , that is what the previous owner said about the sunroof, till 12 months later when we replaced the sunroof strip/seal... It was all rusty/crusty
PS. Mine has aircon & climent control, *I think it's all standard except some gray imports*. All working after fixing the compressor (getting a new condensor).
Cheers.

JCMF,
Wouldn't you already have an account with your parts department? I do, and my dealership knows me by name, what car most probably the quote is for and they classifies me as "trade" and depending who is behind the counter, "cost" but that person left
I'll call my dealership tomorrow and get a quote for you if you wish?
Those seals are bloody expensive, though dad was able to get one for $80 (genuine) though I can't remember if it was 80 or was it 180... but you can't go aftermarket (from what I know).
Cheers.

If you could ring up that'd be obliged, I'll ring my mechanic and see what he can do, and Peewee is going to try through his trade contact too. I try to avoid the dealerships except for body parts for the car, because my EPC doesn't go back that far.
