Hey Guys,
Im in the middle of getting ready to build a rally car... nothing overlly mental just something i can practice in out on my uncles farm.
At the moment its come down to 2 cars.
-1989 Mitsubishi Galant VR4
-1989 Toyota Celica GT4
Both cars have their pros and cons but its a lot harder to find a cheap modified 89 model GT4 in Japan. (by cheap i mean under 9k landed and by modified i mean suspension, exhaust a few minor engine mods).
I have found a GT4 which is around 7k landed but the other thing i dont like about them is there looks in stock form and i want a bar that has a nice big air damn for a FMIC... something like this http://www.dtperformance.com.au/gt4pic.jpg
If i can find a frontbar like that i will go for the Celica... theyre also easier to find parts for i spose.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you ever what to go rallying in it, you'll have to ditch the front mount.
Better bet would be to go to you local newsagent & get a copy of "Australian Rallysport News".
They have classifieds in the back so you could buy a fully prepped car.
Now would be a good time as the seasons are over & people are looking at changing cars for next year.

thats a great idea...
altho i was actually hoping to buy one in a reasonably stock form so i could do all the work and get to know more about the car... i dont really wanna spend much over 10k on it and still want it drivable on the road without too many hassles.
i'll still look tho thanks for the idea!
will go to the newsagents tonight on the way home from work.

That bumper is a Group A / Carlos Sainz front bar with the centre bit of plastic chopped out.
Have a look at a normal Group A front bar and you'll see what has been done straight away!
