Warning To ST-162 Owners Thu, 18 November 2004 15:16 Go to next message

I have noticed nearly all st162s have flaked corner pieces of the front windscreen, so i decided to take them off and respray them in matt black... that was the relatively easy part, putting the side panels back on if u remove them are nearly impossible. took me 1 and a half hours just to put the side piece cover back onto the side of the windscreen...

It looks awesome now that its done, but yeah i'm probably gonna get it sealed up with that stuff they use these days, its like rubber instead of metal... Any idea how much it would cost?

I will have pics up soon!!!

hahaha, but make sure you firmly re-attach it after painting ey buddy? Laughing Laughing

This is the rubber thing he's talkin bout:

My panel beater's windscreen guy did it cos I did an adrian and lost a bit of the black strip on the highway. I'd assume that any windscreen guy could replace it with a rubber one fairly cheap. The panel beater cut out the rust on my A-pillar at the same time he straigtened it out too! Very Happy

Not sure man, I paid cash for the job and didnt get an itemised invoice - just a handwritten recipt for $2200. The spastics wrecked the paint on my bonnet and refuse to fix it, they reckon I must've oversprayed primer all over it! No No No Last time i pay cash to a tradie...
