Hi, how do I identify what sort of g/box I have, I looked all over it and there are a heap of numbers and stuff on it but nothing that really identifies the g/box to my knowledge, Txx Wxx or what ever. Any info appreciated.
Cheers

The W40 and W50 are externally identical, as far as I know, so you won't tell easily from the outside. You will have more of an idea if you can tell us the age and engine and model of the car the box is in now, and if the bellhousing looks like a custom jobbie or not. I doubt its a custom thing.
