have to remove instrument cluster
so all the trims that surround it
then unscrew it from the gbox and pull it through

yea the sprinter one was to short so i gotta use the ae71 cable Confused
so i might as well remove the whole bleeding dash for the sprinter as well to fit it in again Crying or Very Sad

how in the hell do you remove the instrument cluster for the ae71?

i have taken out all the bolts and the radio nobs n shit, but its still being held in place? i dont want to crack the thing Confused

take of the plastic trim where the stock factory radio sits in, once this is off.. there should just be some empty vent holes and the cluster sitting in there, its held on by 4 screws..

if you cant get the surround off, just keep checking for screws, there allways one bastard one left! haha

The final thing holding the dash in is usually....... The speedo cable! get your hand around there and unclip it where it goes into the back of the dash.

the dash or the cluster?
the dash has a bout of million screws holding it in, with about half of them hidden

not sure what the ae86 one is like, yet is it posible to pull the spedo out of the ae86 cluster, if so would it fit were u can take out the one from the ae71?

why not just start undoing screws... if dash doesn't come out, find more screws etc.. it's REALLY not that hard...
