[Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt]
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their economy sedan (mostly import cars from japan hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are
Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
Lots of after-market company stickers they saw on cars in the Fast & Furious
Cold Air Intake- a tube that feeds cold air to their high performance hamsters.
Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, Mitsubishi Eclipses, Toyota Camrys, Corollas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that there are many high performance import cars as well that are designed to go fast that are often mislabeled as "rice". Such cars as supras, skylines, wrx', NSX, Evo IV, etc.. fall into this category. Unfortunately, in today's world cars like this still must be handled on a case-by-case basis.
The ricer attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles. (example: mexican=mini trucks; african americans=escalades; etc..) These crackers are also known to talk a lot of shit about their cars too. The best place to see a ricer is in his native habitat, any mall parking lot.

I think that abuse of the term 'rice' is spiralling out of control...
its gettin that way that anything that stands out from the norm is now branded as rice, and quite frankly its getting old...
i believe its becoming an 'ism' in itself. Along with sexism and racism we now have 'ricism' where people are blindly judging an alternative form of modification as negative when noone can say for certain that everyone who modifies their car for show value will bignote themselves and think their car is the hot shit and can beat any racer...

I like symmetry with my modifications, and two canons conformed. For mine it doesn't matter whether I have one or two of these stainless milk-cans.... one alone couldn't fit under the car in a straight fashion so I had to go angled. Makes it look more even with two canons opposing each other.  Also those that have seen my car at night (mostly at Toymods meets and so on) have seen my neons on as well.
Oh yeah, how ricey is this thread?

Put simply dude (the orginal creator of this thread) the last thing you have to worry about mate is thinking a cannon muffler is rice, I'm sure that assumption would be made prior to people reaching your back end.
Having said that by this forums justification my car is mega ricey, candy apple paint job,flames, 17's etc etc, but do I care ? No, its my car, its a statement of my individuality, if people don't like it, so be it, its my money.
Whats starting to shit me is the inecesent band wagon jumping people seem to be indulging in, is it rice, is it not, your as bad as the ricers, in the end your modifying car for social acceptance, which frankly is weakest common denominator than joins us all. Above all we should be modifying our car for our passion and foresight as apposed to what an internet forum regards as acceptable.

^ Trust me mate..i'm not worried. I couldn't give a half yard what peoples thoughts are of my (to what people here would say) 'riced' Camry. I just wanted to see the amount of justification there is in this club about such things. And, i think i have proved my point!

I say a single cannon is ok, so long as it isn't anymore than 1 inch larger than the exaust system and that the car has been turbo'ed or supercharged.
