Sounds nice, how do you find the GT4 seats in there? I'm looking for some new seats for my 23, and have been considering MX5, GT4 and MR2 seats. I'm about 6'3 so I need something that isn't going have me sitting too much higher than the originals!

lol - Works better with hand movements, as in "This is what I'm gonna do to you" then pretend to fold something and pop it in your top pocket.

I'm gonna use you for an accelerator pedal.

When's this small whore machine gonna be on the road anyways.

Naa I love it! Very Happy and the door trims, and all the other little extra near GT like specs...from my understanding the ST came out like an unoptioned GTV,if I could afford Simons GTV badge for the rear and could somehow source one for the front thats the type of replica she'd be. Cool

Where did you get those white faced dials? Or did you make them up, if so what out of and how?

The rest of the car looks good too.

Cheers,

I havn't seen that type of badge on the rear embellishing panel before...the badge on it looks like it originally came off a grill (like the one you have).

However, with the blocky GT badge, I have only ever seen them positioned to the left...(US, Euro GTs on the passenger side). However, the JDM longnose TA22 (GTV) had the blocky badge and was positioned in the centre

eg. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m131 22351

I guess this was the same for the GT variant...but the GT badge would have had the same script as the GTV one in the picture.

Thanks for the info 74,its exactly what I thought, when I saw the rear badge I checked if it was curved to go on the panel of the flat style tail lights but its straight as,if anyone else knows what exact model its off that would be great,or if its a back badge at all.

As for the gauges here are some more pics, they are VDO and the pics show just how stock they look Cool go teh 280k speedo Evil or Very Mad

Riceburna,

The Grill you have is off a JDM 71/72 model TA22 GT. It is the very first GT grill released.

The rear badge is most likely an RA28 rear GT badge. Can't tell for sure from the pics but could let you know if I could get a good look at it Smile

Thanks Rod,I just called him and the rear badge did actually come off the flat panel style tail lights,so that would support your theory of it being the first model.

The problem I now face is I really am starting to not like the look of them. The front I can put up with, especially after I detail it and get a new dragon badge to go underneath, but the rear makes baby jesus cry!! I though they were the italic ones when I initially bought them, but I guess thats what you get for buying stuff sight unseen Rolling Eyes Im now faced with the question of wether to buy the back tail lights and rear panel off him to go with the badges but ive never really been a huge fan of them either..I think ill grab them anyway, put them on and have a look for myself,If I dont like them ill sell them Very Happy

Also Rod, what was done to your grill, chromed, polished? cause I think thats the way I want to go with mine!! Cheers

Scrote, thanks for that, now do you wana get me out of this mess and sell me your rear Italic GT badge??? Very Happy

My grill was/is painted in a silver grey mix. I have to get the new one redone to take the italic GT badge tho.

Its been a long while since I played around with the two different rear tail lights but they are not a straight bolt in swap. Just can't remember which one is slightly bigger ? Scrote might ! We did it to one of his old TA22's.

Oh and dude, Your badges ARE upside down ! The larger grill mounting tabs go on the bottom. Turn both badges around 180 degrees and re orintate the grill and it will look like what your used to seeing Smile The dragon goes on the Top Smile

Thanks Rod, just to clariry, are we talking about the GTV one that you ended up selling? cause thats the look I want..mmm so the rear taillights dont just slot straight in..I might just give it a miss as I dont want to be chopping up the old girl in any way..

cheers

Thinking about selling this guys!
Just after expressions of interest at the moment,It will either go unfinished or i will get it wired up..

It has never had a bit of rust in its life and has all the good GT stuff to go with it.

Im looking at around the 10k mark..

Cheers

Also how do I get the link to this thread so I can post it in the FS section?
