i think you'd have to increase your budget for a trueno. For your budget you'd probably get the shell Razz

What are you expecting to find here? Are you going to buy a trueno and ship it to the US from Australia? Probably should have specified US dollars when posting on an Australian site also. If you were expecting to find a trueno in the united states on this forum I think you expecting a little bit much. There's probably only 3-4 US members on Toymods.

I live in australia...Sorry that I didn't know whether SR5's are fixed light

Find yourself a GTS then... it would cost you minimum $10000 AU to get a JDM Trueno to where you live, without even getting into Zenki and Kouki debate

WHATDDAF!!!

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS FKIN YANK DOING HERE!!!!!!

NO WE DONT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS STORED IN THIS FORUM!!!

AND NO WE DONT HAVE OIL!!! NO BIN LADEN!!! NO SR5!!

*unless we do some sort of peace aggreement like where the 86 ppl in america wants to have a LEVIN look in their cars and where most of us here would like to have a retractable TRUENO lights, where both parties make an exchange and ship their fronts of their beloved cars and both will be happy only at the shipping expenses... Wouldnt that be Nice....

SR-5 Had nothing to do with levin fronts... you and your brother must be smoking some wack dope... i find it funny we have more of an understanding of USDM cars than US drivers. SR-5's where a toned down version of the GTS with a crappy engine drum brakes and cheap interior, it shared the exact same body as the GT-S

If you don't believe me i suggest that you check:
www.club4ag.com
www.hachilife.com
www.hachiroku.net

all american forums which will tell you the levin was NEVER EVER EVER REALEASED IN THE USA!!!! NO MATTER WHAT!!!! END OF DISCUSSION!

Also to the point his Need for speed underground drift skills should be more than enough skills to bring it all the way in the limelight. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I love the listing of bits u have in your trueno.

So he got owned either way...

I think you will find most of the confusion and argument here is due to your situation not being properly explained. This is the toymods car club of Australia, so people tend to assume when someone is looking to buy a car on here that they are from Australia. We also have a difference in currency, so once again most people would have assumed your budget be in Australian $$'s. Fair enough, you knew exactly what you meant.. the problem is here down under we all walk on our heads so our psychic abilities are no where near as advanced as yours tend to be and we need these finer details explained to us. It also appears that those who come in here for the first time and humble themselves down just a touch get far more assistance from existing board members than aggressive newcomers do.
That being said good luck in your search. Smile

What got me curious was, we never got trueno's... so why ask?

Never really hurts to do some homework. I mean we all know ur USDM AE86 corolla GT-S's all came with the lights but an f'ed up front bar and rear... plus there's an indicator on the rear... that i can never understand Confused

So, unless u want a equivelent SR-5 Levin i suggest you poke at the place of origin. (Nihon)

Whatever you're doing to ur SR-5, GT-S, Trueno... goodluck

Also for the sake of argument i also suggest you read previous threads on this forum with other australia people all who has a status of 'newcomer' asking for 3000(AUD) AE86 Truenos and the people who are regulars are sick of that crap. It might help in seeing a newbie who is another assumed aus resident wanting a trueno because he just finished watching stage 1 of Initial D anime (its a good anime) but it pisses me off too.

Obviously this is all just a big misunderstanding.

Everyone had wrong ideas on everything.
Just kill it all, and take no insults from this thread as literal.

I picked up on the American bit straight away for one reason. "eviltak". Only in the crap, bodged up and "ebonicised" American dub was he called Tak. At all other times it was "Takumi" or "Fujiwara".

Besides, the music in the US dub was crap and the driver of the Hachi was a sissy, it barely revved at all...

hmm, if the usdm rollas are all trueno's and go relativly cheap compared with jdm truenos, why dont ppl just buy one from over there, get an aus delivered crap sprinter dirt cheap and swap over the dash and stearing rack, and cut a new hole in the firewall to put the stearing colum threw, instead of spending over 10G on a JDM one?
