need help to fix trueno steering Fri, 10 December 2004 09:17 Go to next message
hey peoples. well just had a little off in my trueno and it seems that the left wheel has been nudged back about 2cm or so.

consequently, the steering wheel cant be turned all the way to left anymore as the wheel rubs on the arch underneath. i can get

almost 1 turn before it touches. anyone have a diagnosis for this and what would be involved in fixing it. i want to do the work

myself but need to know what parts i might need 1st. the car has camber tops and they were knocked way outta line but as far

as i know, camber tops cant make the wheels move backwards can they? i hit a curb at around 20-25km/h at around a 45 degree

angle or so. i had a look at the shock and it doesnt seem to be bent but the lighting wasnt that good so i'll have to check later as

well. any help or info would be appreciated. cheers.

eddie.

i doubt the shock would bend, more like the castor/tension/radius rod and control arm, have a look at those 2 things and like EVOSTi said, go for a wheel allignment.
